On the Road to a Net Zero Organisational Environment

Technology

Leading Edge Data Centres (LEDC) is deploying a regional edge compute solution that delivers innovative facility design, sustainably focused technology, and overall improved environmental performance.

LEDC supply partners are environmentally aligned with our vision and can support our transition path to Net Zero Scope 3 supply chain environment.

Key highlights are:
• “Solar shield” thermal barrier, providing a PUE improvement of 0.3 through improved temperature management.
• Schneider Electric, business partner ranked No 1, Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations.
• Roof mounted on site solar power generation.

Measurement and Transparency

LEDC is committed to quality improvement through measurement, review, reporting and certification. The priority of delivering a gold standard customer experience, LEDC have a roadmap to execute a range of certifications which focus on data protection, quality, OH+S, environment, power, and continuity.

Currently each DC has completed ISO27001 and Tier III certified, with more certification announcements to happen shortly.

Emissions

Since inception LEDC has been developing its environmental strategy to enable the long-term sustainable delivery of edge services.

LEDC is proud to confirm its commitment to transition all business functions to Net Zero carbon emissions before 2040 or better.

The transformation to a Net Zero business is broken up into several stages and LEDC is currently working through stage 1.

Stage one includes calculation, management, and transition to carbon neutrality across Scope 1, Scope 2 and some Scope 3 emissions. This will be achieved through a combination of renewable energy, equivalence compensation carbon credits, low emission technology options and developing a carbon neutral supply chain.
